Blind vor Wahn getrieben und rasend
in Trance, berauscht, entmenschlicht
Times makes all ephemeral. Memento mori. Time is the destroyer of all things. But also, time is growth, time is healing, time is becoming, time is cyclic. Understanding this chiasmic principle is key for vitality.
Entering the dark side ?
The ego is one of the mechanisms of human that unsure human survival, but that same ego might lead to our collective destruction. The Western ego during monotheism, the enlightenment and later modernism made the mistake to make man other than nature. Nature as dual opposite. Nature is the enemy, something to be controlled and conquered, something to use and drain out of resources.
Human consciousness and its ego have an horizon, that horizon is death, sometimes the destruction of everything as it conceptualizes in narratives of religions of sorts.
The ego is responsible for this dark side. It only see everything in its own form, it is anthropocentric by its western spirit. In nature and world the non-western might see death as rebirth, transformation, as nature itself without the negative connotation which relates to ego itself, not to the body or soul, they are always part of something ‘external’ and never get truly lost — in death, he only thing that really dies is the illusion that we are separate from the world. Saying and believing that, I also believe that the same illusion, the illusion that we are separate from the world, is the only reason why we can love, which is undoubtedly the highest of human values, as portrayed in infinite believes, narratives and art forms.
