Everything that exists is shaped by time, and time ensures that nothing remains as it is. What we call beauty, meaning, or form is always a temporary arrangement within a larger movement of change. To see this clearly is not to fall into resignation but to recognize that transformation is the condition of all being. When we accept that everything passes, our relation to the world becomes less possessive and more participatory. We begin to sense continuity not in what endures, but in the shared process of becoming that includes us as well as everything else. In this way, the awareness of impermanence becomes a quiet form of empathy, an understanding that all things, from the smallest life to the vast cosmos, move through the same unfolding rhythm.
