Why are we interested in the machine if we consider the rest of the content of this project, you ask ? in 20Ω5 we are experiencing a paradigm shift, many are still trying to figure out. We are interested in the perspective of language. Machine language is a tool by itself, used for communication. AI makes the connection between collective knowledge, human language and machine language.

To translate human language to machine language means to gain control, to affect our surrounding, our environments, to contaminate it with everything human, all too human. Computers and machines work, they automate, they take formulas and repeat, develop, deploy, re-write, shift and create. Human made tools, and technology is just another name for magic from the right perspective, we can give the world a shape that is not human or natural per se.

We created an infrastructure, a web, to channel urges, fantasies, desires in a thing that is called the web. Every camera on a pole in the city was once a raven on a tree in the woods.

Nature is entropic, other, it lacks language, the machine is syntropic, it represents order, the proximity of identical objects, patterns, relations. What relation does nature have with the machine ? While language has a structural and relational aspect, such as in semantic fields, it also has an existence of its own in the tools we make. When language gets exposed to entropy, it will contain a taste or the randomness, irregularity, dissonance, chaotic, non-human, there it gets interesting.

Machine language as expression of the a-perspectival

Machine language can be seen as an expression of the Gebserian a-perspectival consciousness because it dissolves the fixed viewpoint that once defined human meaning-making. Rather than transmitting a single, stable message from one subject to another, it operates through relational networks and dynamic generation of difference. Meaning emerges through patterns, feedback, and context rather than from a predefined perspective. In this sense, machine language mirrors the a-perspectival mode described by Gebser—one that transcends the linear, objectified logic of the mental-rational structure and embraces multiplicity, simultaneity, and transparency. It reflects a consciousness that no longer sees from a single point but participates in an unfolding field of interrelations.

Gebser viewed each mutation of consciousness as a response to the limitations of the preceding one. As the perspectival mode, with its fixation on control, linearity, and fragmentation, reaches exhaustion, the a-perspectival offers a way to integrate rather than oppose. Its usefulness lies in cultivating the capacity to perceive wholes instead of parts, processes instead of objects, and transparency instead of opacity. In practical terms, this evolution could enable future cultures to handle complexity without reduction, to design systems—technological, social, or ecological—that mirror the coherence of living processes. For Gebser, this shift is not merely intellectual but existential: it signals a consciousness that no longer constructs the world from a single viewpoint but presents it in its multidimensional presence.

Language is the magic formula to control and change the world …in the beginning was the word…
